Agate Ambulte is the Head of AI for Digital Transformation at Riga Stradiņš University, where she leads initiatives at the intersection of artificial intelligence, education and research.
With over 8 years of experience in software development and 5 years in organizational leadership roles, she specializes in process digitalization and integrating AI tools into business and public sector operations. In addition to her everyday duties, she runs an AI education and advisory business, helping enterprises and the public sector build practical, responsible AI strategies. She also teaches AI skills to teams across industries, with a focus on turning emerging technologies into everyday tools for innovation and impact.
Agate is the founder of the IT Waffle Meetup and co-founder of the Liepāja TechGirls, initiatives that foster tech community engagement and promote diversity in IT. Her work focuses on practical AI education, ethical adoption, and building inclusive digital ecosystems across Latvia.
