Anders Karlen’s research focuses on hit identification and lead development in antibacterial drug discovery. Between 2014 and 2021 he was the Leader of the Managing Entity and co-coordinator of Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) project ENABLE. He is presently the coordinator of the ENABLE-2 project, a national extension of ENABLE. Since 2019 he is the coordinator of the, 6-year, IMI-2 project COMBINE which is part of the IMI AMR Accelerator.
