A graduate of the teacher leadership program "Mission Possible" ("Iespējamā misija"), in 2015 she won the "TOYP Latvia" award in the category "Investment in children, human rights, peace in the world", entered the Top 50 international teacher award "Global Teacher prize 2016" and won the award in the social entrepreneurship competition "Entrepreneur of Good Will 2016" ("Labās gribas uzņēmējs"). She developed and led Cesis New School (Cēsu Jaunā skola). While working in the education and technology company "Lielvārds", lead teacher professional development programs, wrote and lead textbook projects.Currently Dana is the head of LMT educational initiatives, member of the AUGT Foundation Council, teacher development support at Cesis 2. Secondary school, member of the Vidzeme TechGirls and is also actively involved in other educational initiatives.She is convinced that the task of all of us is to implement an education that meets the modern work environment and its requirements - by implementing the present, students will not miss the future.
