Dr. Andrea Altieri is the Chief Scientific Officer at Molport (since August 2024). He earned his degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Bologna and a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh. After a year as a spectroscopist at CNR Bologna, he worked extensively with biotech and pharmaceutical companies.In 2002, he joined Asinex, where he advanced to a management role, leading drug discovery and lead optimization projects. He played a key role in the design and launch of Natural Product-like and PPI-focused compound libraries.In 2012, he joined EDASA Scientific, contributing to antiviral research — including an anti-HIV program with NYBC (USA) through to the animal model stage.From 2013 to 2023, he lectured in Medicinal Chemistry at Moscow State University.
