Liene Briede has worked in innovation ecosystem improvement for 20 years, managing several business support programs and promoting cooperation with the European Institute of Technology (EIT) and its knowledge and innovation communities. She was one of the driving forces behind the establishment of the RTU Science and Innovation Centre in 2022, leading to a vast portfolio of innovation support projects and infrastructure for innovation capacity building. In 2023, she was invited to join the RTU management team as Vice-Rector for Innovation and became a Member of the State Competitiveness Council, organised by the Chancery of the President of Latvia.
