Mr. Luca del Monte is a senior executive at the European Space Agency with an extensive background in industrial policy making, strategy development, and deep tech. Over several years in the space industry and institutions throughout Europe, he joined the Agency where he has held positions of increasing responsibility in strategy and industrial policy.Currently, Luca serves as the Head of the ESA Commercialisation Department, supporting European space entrepreneurs in their journey to commercialisation and sustainable scale-up on global markets. He provides a full range of services, including business incubation, technology transfer, and connections with the investor community.He holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Rome, La Sapienza, and graduated from the French Armaments Procurement Institute at Ecole Militaire (Paris, France).Mr. del Monte is also a professor of Space Commercialisation at the Doctoral School of Bari Polytechnic (Italy), lectures on Space Entrepreneurship at the LUISS Business School in Amsterdam, and is co-founder and member of the board of directors of ECSECO, the European Centre for Space Economy and Commerce based in Vienna.
