With an MSc in Nuclear Physics from the University of Latvia (1990) and alumni credentials from Harvard Business School’s OPM28 class (1999), he launched his first major venture in the FMCG industry, scaling it to $100M+ in turnover before a successful exit in 2006. Since 2009, he has been the founder and CEO of Commercialization Reactor, where he continues to shape the deep-tech startup ecosystem. Nikolai is also an active business angel and strategic investor, passionate about driving science-based innovation to market.
