Rihards is a system architect who combines intuition and mathematical expertise to develop innovative computing concepts. His research focuses on novel computing and sensing technologies while utilizing heterogeneous architectures (FPGA, ASIC, processors) and designing control and accelerator circuits intertwined with software. Rihards has been involved in a range of technical engagements, ranging from RTL design for different image processing challenges, sensor design and embedded Linux kernel development to the design of system architectures and team management.
